The ADS114S06B and ADS114S08B are highly precise, 16-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters designed for applications requiring accurate measurement of small-signal sensors. With an emphasis on low power consumption, these ADCs are equipped with a digital filter that not only delivers low-latency conversion results but also offers robust rejection of 50-Hz or 60-Hz noise often present in industrial environments. The inclusion of a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) further enhances the versatility of these devices, allowing for amplification of signals ranging from 1 to 128 in order to accommodate various sensor types such as resistive bridges or thermocouples. Additionally, with a built-in low-drift 2.5-V reference and programmable excitation current sources (IDACs), the ADS114S06B and ADS114S08B simplify the implementation of RTD biasing, making them ideal for applications where accuracy and reliability are paramount
