The TPS54386PWPR is a high-performance synchronous step-down DC-DC converter from Texas Instruments. It is designed for a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V and can deliver up to 3A of continuous output current. This converter has a fixed frequency PWM control scheme that operates at 500kHz. It features integrated power MOSFETs with low RDS(on) for high efficiency operation. The device also includes overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and adjustable soft start for added protection and control.The TPS54386PWPR offers excellent load and line regulation with a high efficiency rating of up to 95%. It is housed in a small thermally-enhanced 20-pin HTSSOP package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
