Key Featrues
Triple Output Switching Regulators (2.4A + 1.5A + 1.5A): With one 2.4A and two 1.5A outputs, the LT3507 can efficiently power multiple loads simultaneously. This reduces the need for additional regulators, simplifying circuit design and improving overall system efficiency.
Antiphase Switching for Reduced Ripple: The 2.4A output operates in antiphase with the other two converters, minimizing input ripple current. This feature enhances power quality, reduces noise, and improves performance in sensitive applications like DSPs and communication systems.
Independent Soft-Start and Power Good Indicators: Each regulator has independent soft-start and power good signals, enabling precise power supply sequencing. This simplifies interfacing with microcontrollers and DSPs, ensuring smooth startup and preventing voltage spikes.
Adjustable Switching Frequency (250kHz to 2.5MHz): The LT3507 allows users to adjust the switching frequency over a wide range, optimizing efficiency and minimizing component size. This flexibility supports the use of smaller inductors and capacitors, reducing board space and cost.
Applications
Automotive Power Management: The LT3507 is well-suited for automotive applications, such as infotainment systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Its wide input voltage range (4V to 36V) and robust design make it capable of handling the demanding electrical environments of vehicles, while its antiphase switching reduces input ripple, ensuring stable operation.
DSP and FPGA Power Supply: The LT3507 is an excellent choice for powering digital signal processors (DSPs) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in embedded systems. Its ability to generate multiple regulated outputs (2.4A, 1.5A, and 1.5A) with precise voltage control ensures reliable operation of high-performance processors, while the power good indicators simplify system monitoring and fault detection.
Portable and Battery-Powered Devices: The LT3507 is ideal for portable and battery-powered devices, such as handheld instruments and IoT devices. Its high efficiency and low quiescent current extend battery life, while the adjustable switching frequency allows optimization for size and performance, making it suitable for compact, energy-efficient designs.
