MediaTek Genio 130/130A(MT7931/MT7933) Smart Home Matter Application Solution

Matter is a hot smart home standard promoted by Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), which is dedicated to solving the connectivity problems among different smart home appliances and devices across platforms and ecosystems.

As a leading supplier of IoT chips, Mediatek's Genio 130/130A (MT7931/MT7933) products also support the Matter protocol and are compatible with commercially available smart home products, such as the Google Nest Hub, to provide more convenient connectivity for smart home devices.

MediaTek's Genio 130/130A (MT7931/MT7933) microprocessor products are based on the Arm Cortex-M33 architecture, with a clock of up to 300MHz and up to 8MB of SRAM, providing highly efficient computing power.

The Genio 130A(MT7933) also supports wireless connectivity technologies such as WiFi 6 and BT 5.2, and the new version of the SDK supports Matter technology, which enables the product to seamlessly connect to other devices on the smart home platform across multiple platforms, increasing the value of the product.

In addition, the built-in HiFi4 DSP of Genio 130A (MT7933) greatly improves the efficiency and accuracy of voice recognition, which can be combined with Cybron's voice recognition database to realize local voice assistant service, and with WiFi function to integrate with Amazon Alexa intelligent voice assistant to provide cloud-based voice recognition service. Its voice assistant function also provides voice control for Matter.

· This solution starts from building the environment, using the MT793X FreeRTOS SDK v3.1.0, importing it into the Matter project connecthomeip, compiling the Matter example lighting_app, and burning the firmware into the MT7933 development version, so that the MT7933 development version can be used as the Matter device to connect with Google Nest Hub.
