The 6N137SM is a high-speed phototransistor optocoupler designed for use in high-speed digital logic interfaces and isolated communication channels. It consists of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode and a silicon phototransistor housed in a compact 8-pin SOIC package. Key features of the 6N137SM include a minimum isolation voltage of 3750 Vrms, a minimum CTR (current transfer ratio) of 50% at a forward current of 1.6 mA, and a maximum propagation delay of 100 ns. The device is capable of operating at speeds of up to 10 Mbaud and is compatible with TTL, LSTTL, and CMOS logic levels.The 6N137SM is suitable for applications such as isolated line receivers, microprocessor system interfaces, digital signal isolation, and ground loop elimination. It has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C and is RoHS compliant.
