SPANSION

Spansion was a semiconductor company headquartered in the United States. The company focused on the design and manufacturing of flash memory storage products. Its main products included flash memory chips used in various electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, TVs, and automobiles. Founded in 2003, Spansion was a joint venture between AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) and Fujitsu. The company made significant advancements in flash memory technology development and production, gaining a certain market share globally. However, in 2015, Spansion merged with Cypress Semiconductor, forming the new company Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. This merger allowed the new company to offer a wider range of semiconductor solutions and have a stronger competitive position in the global market. Although Spansion is a company that existed in the past, its technology and products are now integrated into Cypress Semiconductor Corporation.
